A hot, jungle-like humidity
late-May day in the city of brotherly love was the host for the
greatest Chrome show, and frankly the best live performance I've ever
witnessed from Helios Creed. Helios was on-point and incredible, as was
the rest of his top-notch band. I wasn't even planning on a full video
of this show, I only brought along my audio recorder to try and get a
nice audio recording of the show to remember it by. I arrived at the
club hours early and on the advice of the sound guy, hooked my external
mic up to a "sweet spot" right by the board, clipping it to the roof of
the little enclosed area that housed the soundboard and sound guy. A
friend of mine was recording video of the show as was another person in
the crowd (who I was lucky enough to track down). We're quite lucky
that a FULL live video of this amazing show was able to be put together
as one guy recording video had his battery malfunction or die a little
over an hour into the set, but luckily my buddy's video camera kept
rolling (infinite thanks to Bob Lennon for recording video so that
video of the end of the show wasn't forever lost). SO, we were able to
seamlessly splice in the remainder of the show to give us the full
video here. My audio recording came out pretty great and really
captured the high-end FUZZED out sounds of Helios's guitar. All was
combined for an excellent visual document of a truly amazing Chrome
show! The main credit for making this video happen goes to Craig Smith
